These terms apply to your use of Up2what. By reading the site, applying to write, or using a writer account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site

Up2what is a place for writers to publish and for anyone to read. Reading is free and does not require an account. Writing requires an account, and accounts are granted by invitation after a waitlist application. We may accept or decline any application.

Accounts

If you have an account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens under your account. The information you give us must be accurate. You must be at least 13 years old to have an account.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you publish on Up2what. By publishing here, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, format, and distribute that content as part of running the site, including through the RSS feed, sitemaps, and other machine-readable versions of the site. That license ends when you delete the content, apart from copies that remain in backups or that others have already made.

You are responsible for what you publish. You confirm that you have the right to publish it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Up2what to:

  • publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
  • publish spam, malware, or deceptive content;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are;
  • attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or other people's accounts.

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if we believe these terms have been broken or if it is needed to protect the site or other people.

Other people's content

Posts are written by their authors and reflect their own views, not those of Up2what. Posts are provided for general information and are not professional advice. Content on the site belongs to its authors, and you may not republish it without their permission, beyond what the law allows.

If you believe something on Up2what infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a link to the content and an explanation, and we will review it.

Disclaimers

Up2what is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, or that content on it is accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Up2what and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, or for any loss of content or data.

Changes

We may change the site or these terms from time to time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a new date at the top, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.
